I am probably not ever going to be the mom who creates amazing things from scratch. But I will definitely be the mom who uses what other moms create and has a blast doing it!
Early this month, I had the honor of attending BEECH Retreat. There I met many incredible moms who home school their children and also have fabulous blogs with all sorts of resources. While I at this point don’t plan on officially home schooling, I’m all for learning at home as much as possible! Jolanthe’s blog Homeschool Creations really caught my attention. Here’s our first project!
Step 1: Purchase a laminator, or as Joshua calls it, a “crazy machine” from Amazon. (My husband says this is the first step toward becoming a homeschool mom. I said well, if that’s where God leads, I’ll have the essential laminator already purchased!)
Step 2: Print the cards and choose which page to do first!
Step 3: Learn the machine, and use it! Seriously, from cutting the box open to laminating cards, this was such an easy set up! Now I know why everyone I know loves their Scotch laminator!
Step 4: Wait with excitement as the crazy machine works its magic! (What I love about 2 year olds, is he has NO CLUE what we’re doing. Just that we’re doing it together.)
Step 5: Cut them, put ’em on a ring, and memorize! (The “put on a ring” part was super hard with a two year old saying “My turn!” and trying oh so hard to get the card on the ring….)
